I know what you mean! I can never just sit back a watch a film, I have to listen to every detail of the score. Even if the score is crap.

Yea the music has improved, ofcourse it is built on the score of the first one, but altho it is very nice music, a bit too much of the same theme in the first PoTC. Now in the second one there is more variety.
And I only for 5 minutes into sleep in the movietheater this time. When PoTC I slept during most of the movie. People still can't believe how I can sleep in such a loud environment. But those seats are so cosy..... 8)

Damm that must be a good cinema. You must have a talent to sleep while a movie is on full blast!

Well making a good sountrack involves making music that fits the scene and is characteristic of the characters and whats going on. So for example Jack Sparrow has his own theme and usually when he is onscreen the music is playing.

I actually didn't find the music as catchy. The themes were there which was great but in between it wasn't as good as the first films score. I wasn't exactly walking out of the cimema humming, if you know what I mean.....although at least the rum song was still in it.
