A brief introduction

Greetings!

My original purpose for joining this forum was the discovery of it through determined scouring for avenues through which to draw a greater number of visitors to a particular website begun by the author of this post.

The motivation for this was hardly the unethical self-promotion rampant on numerous online discussion boards, but in order to encourage greater excellence among musicians and provide a supportive avenue through which to promote the high-quality work of any classical musician (particularly in the area of music recordings).

Should the members of this site be interested, they need only to ask for the withheld information, as I shall not intentionally spam others.

Now, for a more concrete introduction. I am a home educated student (I realize that many may be unfamiliar with this method of learning), and am learning two instruments: violin and piano. I began violin lessons 7 years ago, at the age of 10. A year later, I began piano lessons. My musical repertoire is virtually exclusively classical music.

In addition to musical endeavors (including some composition/arranging), I am quite interested in computer programming (particularly network/web programming) and Christian apologetics.

I am presently primarily learning some piano music by Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Menotti. For the violin, I am mostly working on music by Wieniawski and Bach.

With these things my partial introduction is complete. I am presently living in the United States of America, in the state of Oklahoma. In the future, I hope to be able to make some contributions to this board.

Hi there and welcome to Music-Web.

As your playing repertoire is virtually exclusively classical music is this also the type idiom of your compositions?

Yes, it is. I am working on some original compositions (primarily for piano, violin, and string quartets), though most of my time is presently occupied with various studies.
