Introduction

To save a little typing time, I'll post from another forum:

Hi, I go by Scott (A. Scott Kingston on my scores). I'm working on my masters at Western Oregon University & I'm studying with Dr. Kevin Walczyk.

Here's my comcast page:
http://home.comcast.net/~ascottk/
& here's Dr. Walczyk's page:
http://www.wou.edu/las/creativearts/music/walczyk.htm

I started writing music in the summer of 2000 for the childrens' theatric show "The Little Mermaid" by William Glennon. Then I went to write music for "Don't Dress for Dinner" by Mike Camoletti.
I wrote a few more pieces for theater, one piece was for the serpent scene in John Dreyden's "The State of Innocence and the Fall of Man":
http://home.comcast.net/~ascottk/mp3s/serpent.mp3

Since then I've become more contemporary (less common practice tonality & more focused on pitch class/interval class theories). Here's one example:
http://home.comcast.net/~alter-id/au...elema-edit.mp3
This was inspired by the Thief: Deadly Shadows video game. This performance was by the Thelema Trio:
http://www.thelematrio.com/

This was a contemporary composition assignment:
http://home.comcast.net/~alter-id/audio/Finally.mp3
Set theory, pseudo minimalism, scalar, with a bit of a tango. Yours truly on the violin . . .

Here's "Utaqiliugigvin (I'll Wait for You)":
http://home.comcast.net/~ascottk/mp3...iliugigvin.mp3
Utaqiliugigvin is King Island Eskimo meaning "I'll Wait for You". This was inspired by my trips to Alaska the last couple of years.

translation:
King Island, where have you gone?
Not far now.
King Island, when do we meet?
Soon?
It's been a long time.
I'll wait for you.
I have a couple of small film scores I put together the last couple of years. I submitted them to archive.org:
http://www.archive.org/details/XDayScored
http://www.archive.org/details/LightHouseRescored
& here's my comcast site:
http://home.comcast.net/~ascottk/
_______________

Other hobbies include game modding & I'm currently doing stuff for the Dark Mod (Looking Glass Studios "Thief" inspired full conversion mod for Doom 3):
http://www.thedarkmod.com/

As you can see I've been a busy guy :-)
