Wow, thanks for this MaestroX. I've just had a fiddle with the Webmail client and its superb; better than Hotmail and Yahoo mail. No ads, no annoying screen refresh.

Thankyou!

p.s I can probably get onto this at school too (my school blocks hotmail)

Hi Maestro,

How Do I register for this service? I'd like to request PeterG@music-web.org if possible?

The demo account seems to not work..

IMAP Error: Authentication for demo@music-web.org failed (LOGIN): "a001 NO Login failed."

Thanks for letting me know. I forgot to transfer the account when we had the server move Its up and running now

Also to note, mailboxes are now unlimited and you can attach up to 15MB of data to emails.

suggestion to improve..

Hello,

I have two suggestions which would make the music-web mail even easier to use (I think):

- Would it be a good idea if the music-web mail login page would be able to remember my login ID and password.

- on the login and the logout page put a link to the music-web homepage (or to the forum and to the encyclopedia pages) ?

greetings from the Netherlands,

Peter

Thanks for your suggestions Peter

I'm afraid not as this is a security issue. You can though shorten the amount you type. So when you login instead of writing the full email address you can just write the part before the @ (so PeterG for you )

on the login and the logout page put a link to the music-web homepage (or to the forum and to the encyclopedia pages)
We've now configured Music-Web mail to open in a new window so you can now browse while viewing the forum. I'm not sure if you've noticed this new behaviour but it avoids having to flip back and forth in one window
