Schubert's Unfinished Symphony No. 8

Tonight when I listen to it, I found that the work is really sad. And even more than every time I listen to it before.
It is the same recording, same performance......Zubin Mehta conducts Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, recorded by DECCA.
I spontaneously link the mood to the fact that one of my very best friends is leaving my homeland towards Australia for studies.
Especially at the last cadence of the first movement. The three chords just like three single sign from my heart. Yeah, it would be long for us not to see each other. The music is then full of passion of hopeless. In the second movement, Schubert tried to find peace in his heart but seems failed. Finally it turns out a really sad ending......
