I'm working on finishing my Mmus, and have still got to finish a duet for violin and viola, a solo cello piece, and a recording of some folk-tunes I've written... - and all this by october 1. Stress? Naaahhh...

Some more dances. Waltzes, Tangos, Polkas, Polonaises, Boleros.

I just noodle around on what I want. No paycheck, no deadline, no hurry.

A string trio but my next goal is probably a piano concerto or a capriccioso, hopefully.....

Well, I play the clarinet so I'm at a bit of an advantage. First of all I compose the principle melodies and try to arrange them in a "Solo", "Tutti" format which is the norm for a concerto. Once done, I work on the intro, and harmony and I keep composing till I get to the end.

When its done i'll post it so yous guys can hear.

Nice poem, Thorolf.
Reminds me of why I believe in magic. What would life be without it?

As for pomcosing, I'm still struggling with a woodwind quartet. Composing with paper, pencil and aspirins.

I'm composing what I was hoping to be a fairly long piece (7 minutes; this may not be much to you chaps, I don't know) which I was intending to be light, reminiscent of flight. It didn't quite start right, but I'm getting there, slowly. No deadlines, purely to see whether I still can, and whether I get a kick out of writing music.
As to the structure, I don't have any particular instrument limits, though to be easy on my computer I'm trying to get by with as few instruments as possible. Still, I'm using about 50-75% of an orchestra. Oh well.
