I await with interest, if Marcuslee comes up with a piece. Marcuslee, if you have a mic and some means of manipulating recordings, it's possible to come up with some very weird stuff. Cheers, everyone. |

Yeah, I've found a few sound effects that I think would fit. Now (when I have a few free minutes), I am trying to create melodies that symbolize the themes I mentioned in my last post. Patience is a virtue! Mark |

| marcuslee: about the identification of animals in music, i always try to think hard about what it is that these creatures do ![]() A vulture, for instance, floats about, lurking and waiting for it's prey to stop moving. It does this for a very long time, and if one of these would be circling over my head, it'd give me an eerie feeling. A frog sits on a leaf or whatnot, bobbing about in whatever pond it is in, and sometimes hopping to the next or into the water, and catching flies with it's tongue, etc. perhaps it's an idea to, instead of just identifying animals with a single instrument, try and set an atmosphere around these creatures with a smaller or bigger musical piece, depending on how much material you'd need ![]() |

| Re: Challenge #2 - Deep Jungle Society Very interesting concept-- Marcuslee, my first thought for butterflys would be to listen to R. Schumman's "Papillions" (SP?) and use a piano. Good luck-- I hope you'll post it so we can all hear it! Elmer |
