Try and get it finished by August if you can. Also as a tip try and score it for all different ensembles. The more the merrier.

This seems the way to go! One of the offices I visit is already setting up its "Christmas Party Committee" to collect a few bob each month for their blowout, make useful decisions etc!?! Composing takes a bit longer so a good time to start!
