Re: Pachelbel - Canon in D

Hi!

I moved your thread here as it will probably be noticed more by people interested in this genre. I reckon as an arrangement it deserves a place in the showcase department!

I found it ok - a nice arrangement of a work I basically don't like. The introduction seemed a bit prolonged but as you're the arranger, that is, of course, your call. Nice production too and you held my attention. There were a couple of minor points - hardly worth mentioning.

This Packard & Bell cannon is a nice weapon to fire off a few improvisations. I had to play it in a string ensemble and the arranger had made such a mess of the repeats I just played what came to mind over the harmony! Nobody seemed any the wiser!

so....great!

Good piece. Definately a new way of presenting the famous Canon.

WOW! ummm..... well I love the original piece os canon in D but your arrangement is more hip hop like to me. I don't know why but it sound a little mixture of hip hop and classical music. It's still great and amazing it's like a modern version of canon. xD
