Nova (some strange dance music thingy)

This is just me messing 'round with several synths, drummmachines (all vsti's) and some voices and strings (the last two are made with soundfonts).
I do this quite often - just to get away from my more serious classical style pieces - and today I thought "why not share this too" ;-)

EDIT: apparantly the file was gone, I've reuploaded it; the following is the new link:

all comments and suggestions appreciated!

bye,

frederik

Beautiful, relaxing piece!

Lots of fine Hi-Hat programming, that communicates nicely with the similar rhythms in the tonal parts, nice details in relatively rare synth sound blending; the usual thing is to let each synth play its distinctive part, but you use them more like orchestral instruments with blending capabilities.

It should be noted that the very different usage of compressing in the mix will make you lose a bit in the level war, this can be alleviated by mastering without losing the fragile cake icing versus rough bass feel.

Good!

Regards

Curious. I can't get to your file. I get "Rogepost File Hosting Service" Upload page. I tried typing the link details in but got no further. Is it just me???

Edit: Now it's reporting page/address not available...

Re: Nova (some strange dance music thingy)

At last!

Yup, very pleasant - it would make nice incidental music too.

No comment as the tracks are nicely balanced, the material engaging.
Great.
