Like GarageBand for Mac, it’s realtively easy to use, and good for learning. You won’t waste time with this one; once you hit the limitations, you’ll be wanting to upgrade to a more complete DAW, but in the meantime, you will get results instead of frustrations because of a too steep learning curve. (Or so I have heard!)

There seems to be no printed manual with this one, but on the retail version, an electronic manual comes with it. You find no pdf on your disc?

No there only seems to be sound samples and no way of inputting on a stave.
