| What game music do you like? Are there and avid gamers on the forum who have certain games they love because of its music? A few that come to mind are: Halo, Morrowind, Final Fantasy Any others that really catch your ear?  |

| I have a long list of games that have music that impressed me, but to keep it short: Beyond Good and Evil Call of Duty 1 (No, really, I mean it - it also turns out that it was scored by Michael Giacchino, the same person who did the music to The Incredibles) Chrono Trigger and, going back in time a bit - Creatures 2. It was just too cute. |

| IMDB is your friend. Obviously the COD music is very different; far more dramatic and incidental, but you hear the odd familiar bit here and there. A lot of RPG games have average to good music. Chrono Trigger is a good example of something quite exceptional. On the other hand, with Morrowind, I swear it was an afterthought. "Oh, yeah, we need music to, like, set the mood. Yeah, just get John to make something generic." Sure, it has a couple of themes and it *is* well produced, but given the scope of the game, I'm surprised it was lacking so much. It's one of the few cases of just not having enough (then again, I never really liked that game. Every NPC was like Keanu Reeves - a plank of wood). </rant> |
