Legend of Zelda Music

Catchy tunes, majestic themes, and an overall memorable score. As you can probably guess I like alot of the music from these legendary games. What do you all think of them?

I'm not a big Zelda player, but the music is very memorable as you say. I like the a lot of the melodies link learns on his ocarina in Ocarina of Time. I also really like the music in Wind Waker when you first start playing as Link on his birthday.

I jazzed up the Zelda DX theme once, it's got some tempo flaws, but it was my first jazz-ish piece.

If you keep an ear on the higher notes, you'll find the zelda theme melody there

I like the music, but I think the scores in the PokéMon games are catchier. My humble opinion, ofcourse

I really love anime, and my favourite studio is 'Studio Ghibli' and if you have ever seen Spirited away, or princess mononoke you will know that the music by Joe Hiashi is AMAZINGLY good.

Btw. Loving Zelda Jazz its brilliant!

I love the music of Princess Mononoke, especially the music at the end after the forest spirit destroys iron town and things begin to grow green again.

I've just realised however that theres already thread about studio ghbili music

I never understand why they always have really good scoring but really cheesy J-Pop theme tunes

That's easy. Joe Hisaishi, a great Japanese composer, writes the scores for Studio Ghibli and their marketing department chooses the latest J-pop bands to write and perform the themes so that they can sell more soundtrack CDs. Studio Ghibli goes all out when marketing those "cheesy" (to you, but pretty hip, to a lot of Japanese kids) tunes. The tunes get used in TV commercials, get onto on the radio charts, and sold to national karaoke chains. They're out to make mega-bucks and know how to use the media to do it.

Re: Legend of Zelda Music

As someone who plays Zelda (though not frequently), I must say that I am impressed with its music as well. And I agree that its tunes are memorable.
