well some of his music is nice, but not really my favourite to be honest.
I've even played some piece by him, but didn't like it at all.

Oh and Final Fantasy on itself I don't like either...

I you are comparing it to people like Bach and Beethoven then of course you wont see anything great in it. However, if you compare to most contemporary stuff of the same style you will see that it is miles ahead of the rest.

MaestroX will become famous soon enough
I think you got to judge music within a context. Its pointless comparing the music of Bach to final fantasy. One Bach's music was ment for dancing, enjoyment etc. Final Fantasy's muisc was ment for accompaniny a game. If you switch the roles of the music, for example Bachs music in final fantasy, it would sound rather crap.

It would be hardly fair if when you showed your composistions to someone and they judge it againt Bach's or Beethovan's

Brilliant comment MaestroX!

Another reason is because of the time differences. If you judge someones music on just music that far into the past, you neglect almost 200 years of musical development. There is no way anyone can keep the same standards for all music.

Thats wrong. You can easily compare a modern composition to Beethoven or Bach.
And its a fact, yes, that can not stand up to theirs. But then why lie to yor self and compare it to some shit and say its great music??

Like I said, Beethoven wrote probably the greatest music ever and its your problem if you live your life calling all music crap because it isn't as good as Beethoven.
