| Re: Vista I read an article a couple of days ago and after seeing the prices I was shocked. £100 to upgrade (UK), $100 to upgrade (US) - So why to us in the UK have to pay double for the software? Their excuse was the fluctuations of the exchange rate. right....  |

| Re: Vista Both my and my wife's computers are Vista based (seeing as it's really hard to find a "new" computer that isn't bundled with Vista). I haven't tried to utilize Sibelius on the system yet, but so far, the only problem I've had with Finale is a known problem dealing with how the graphics card is read. All this is? A bracket. The bracket messes with the graphics card and does a sort of blue streak across the measures. It's known to MakeMusic, and I believe either Finale '08 or the next installment, probably in 2009, will have the fix in it. Other than that, there's nothing wrong with it. Vista is just one of those systems where there's alot of extra crap bundled with it (which took me about three hours to review and remove), but if you know what you are doing, there's alot you can make it do for you. |
