Thankyou very much , my overall style has changed since but I plan a revival of my eariler work which includes this and some film inspired pieces. I just love classical so much though!

If you'd or anyone would like any help with any of your compositions i'd be more than happy to help.

For those asking i've attached a pdf of the score.

I enjoyed this, it was very good. I especially like how you used the flute trills.

Nice work.

I like it, a lot. It's a piece with real character, especially given your age at the time. When using MIDI the only advice I would give is maybe to try and put more dynamics into the piece, volume and tempo wise. It doesn't take very long and really makes the piece much fuller.

I don't really have any other comments on this piece though, other than I like it. Catchy melodies, good instrumentation, nice fluid progressions, evocative. All round good job.

I might be tempted to post up some of my early VGM at some point, just for giggles

This is amazing! I'll have to post some of my compositions for video games. I had one set of like 50 "tracks" I was composing for a video game a friend was making. Unfortunately, the project never got off the ground farther than my music. Even back in the days of the SNES and N64, I still tried to write music for an orchestra.

But as for Golden Valour Overture, amazing! Just...amazing!

I played this for someone I'm in a local concert band with, and they would love to play it in a concert band setting. Would you allow such an arrangement to exist? I'd be happy to play with it (I love to do that as it lets me try to get inside the composer's head and thoughts) and see what you think.

Wow, definatly, anything to get my music to the people! By all means I will arrange it specially. If you could pass on any details of the instrumentation of the concert band that would help me out alot. As with all concert bands, the instrumentation is always unqiue from band to band Horns and Bassoons are regulary missing etc#

Edit: whoops miss read your post, yeah sure you can arrange it, I can send you the siblius file which will help you out

I only got to start working on an arrangement today since I had to reset my computer (stupid viruses, eh?).

I've got up to your key change around D minor. I've added a few things to round out the piece (based on my studies of concert band material, which is the type of music I've studied the most).

ADDED: Introduction (8 measures)
REASON: Though the melody is good enough to keep its place as an opening, I tried to create an introduction that would get the tempo of the piece in everyone's mind.

PROBLEM: Tempo
QUESTION/THOUGHT: I think the tempo that you set is a great tempo, and while I don't think there will be any problems in performance, do you think that there is any chance the tempo could be slightly less than 144? I'm keeping it at 144 because I like the feel of it so far, but once it gets into practice mode, we'll have to see how it goes.

ADDED: 4 measures break, then 8 measures of theme again
REASON: I started with only the woodwinds playing the theme, then decided to break off to a secondary melody (which is the Horn theme from when you modulate to D minor, brought back here to be in A minor), which leads perfectly back into the theme. The next eight measures are the same theme as before, with added brass and woodwinds doing a little something different up above (marked with f instead of mf like the rest of the band).

ADDED: Percussion
REASON: Just makes for a great feel. I hope.

I know I use Finale, but I'm saving up to buy Sibelius shortly.
