Re: Golden Valour Overture

No problem. Not exactly certain how crappy it's going to sound, though.

Re: Golden Valour Overture

Its sounding great, some good things you've done. I'm looking foward to hearing more!

Finale seems to output quite good midi files. I find with siblius I usually have to manaully edit the channels and midi settings in order for it to output a good sounding midi.

Re: Golden Valour Overture

I had to do that only because it's a semi-large scoring. With Finale, I had up to like 35 for channels, but midi only goes to 16. So I had to manually go in to the Instrument List and change all the channels. All Flutes became 2 (since Piccolo is 1), etc.

Re: Golden Valour Overture

Ahh, I thought it was just a Sibelius fault. Final seems to have the same problem. Perhaps in their future upgrades it can be a bit smarter and do this for you when exporting to midi. Who knows

Re: Golden Valour Overture

A very nice piece indeed! Quite reminds me of the music for "Age of Empires".
And you were only 15 when you composed this? Impressing!
