Aftermath/The Invasion of Earth

Currently the biggest piece I've had performed thus far. The recording quality isn't the greatest on the recording due to an overcalculation in the ammount of gain during the recording, and the performance is so-so considering it was a high school badn/orchestra/choir that only had 2 weeks to rehearse, but all in all, it gives you the general idea. It's the second movement in the "Battle in the Stars" Suite, I started working on it my sophmore year, after completeing the first movement "Prologue/The Attack", and it was finally performed in 2004 my senior year. This isn't the full piece, we had to cut the entire "Aftermath" portion due to time constraints, but it gives all the the "Invasion" portion of the piece, minus a couple of measures here and there. So let me know what you guys think. If you're into the big, bad, full orchestra/choir pieces, then it might be up your alley.

Pretty good. The band isn't at all bad either and nice to hear a live performance. Definitely the right atmosphere. I like the way you laid out the scoring (as far as I could hear). I felt that the brass goes on a bit long so the point when the strings/violins get some promenance (near the halfway point) was welcome. The tail end definitely has a martial feel and I liked the way the snare cut out to leave sustained harmony (almost at the end).

Well done. Well worth the applause!

Wow really good. The recording isn't the best as it seems to drag in points but what can you do ey? You use some great effects, I sense alot of final fantasy in the style of writing. Reith has mentioned most of the points I picked up on. Good job!
