Re: Sinfonietta - 1st movement/part

This piece would, formally, hamonically, melodically and stylish deserve a thorough analysis. But, I refuse to do that!

When I read the score, when I listen to the music, and both, everything in my guts tells me that this is one of the rare moments of pure inspiration. I know itīs transpiration too, but that really rides along with it.
I will just put it simple: Thank you for making this, in my opinion, masterpiece.!
It creeps inside my skin. Nothing you can do about that!

Re: Sinfonietta - 1st movement/part

Thank you for those kind comments, Yerik. Yes, the first section came from inspiration once I got started though I reverted to habits I was trying to break a bit too quickly.

As for the third section I'm having second thoughts...it doesn't seem to fit the rest. I may have to write a new one. I seem to have dug myself into a hole here - the whole thing has taken so long to finish that any sense of uniformity has been lost.

I'll have another think during the holidays....crikey, that's only 8 weeks away!

Again, thanks.
