Nwärdoth

I wrote this piece for someone on another website, and I quite liked it then. As I keep listening to it, the rough chords create a fine amount of dissonance, which sort of works for this tune, but my counterpoint was really weak.

Still, I find it really good.

What, I can't attatch files?

Re: Nwärdoth

Very nice piece. I didn't catch where the "dissonances" were though. The only immediate suggesstion I have is to omit the final cymbal(whatever it is) clash on the last note. It just doesn't fit.

Re: Nwärdoth

The dissonance that I spoke of came in the "chorus", to speak. Between the brass and woodwind section, the winds were playing an A# minor chord, while the Brass started on a quarter note run, starting on F#. It's not huge dissonance, but it was enoug to catch someone's attention, so I decided to mention it.

I liked a lot of what I heard in the opening. Your use of rests/silence to for your rhythm was very nice. I think the piece might benefit from a little more harmonic and melodic variety. I think you have some nice ideas going on that you could be developed even further.
