Animusic, computer animated music

For most of the first time I saw this, I was awestruck that anyone could build such a precision machine. Well, April Fools on me. They can't (of course). But it's that real.

The other scenes show equally beautiful, though less plausible, instruments, playing gorgeous rock/classical fusion music.

Re: Animusic, computer animated music

I've seen one of those played on PBS. It is very cool. It makes I wish I had thought of doing the same thing (I've done some programming--I remember thinking, back in the 80s, that it would be a good idea to create a program that allows musicians to put notes on the screen and then play them back. A year later such programs were for sale). Maybe animated music will be a standard way for composers to present their work.
