Thorolf is on a distinguished road
Make .pdfs without Acrobat!

Free online converter for postscript files:

http://www.ps2pdf.com/convert/convert.htm

If you want to make a .pdf from e. g. a Finale file, go to File -> Compile Postscript Listing… and save Postscript file (big .ps file). Then upload it to the online converter, and voila, you got your small .pdf file to share… (compression to ca 1/8th of the .ps file size)

Regards

gravehill is an unknown quantity at this point
I use a free program called PrimoPDF. I don't have the url handy but Google will surely find it. It acts as an additional printer so when you want to convert a document to a .pdf, you just choose to print it and select PrimoPDF as the printer. Works flawlessly and lets you convert anything that can be printed.

Definitely. I can produce pdfs in photoshop but only by layering them into a very long page! I can't split the pages after that.
