Autumn. In Buenos Aires summer is very hot, winter irregular, and spring
humid and alergic.

Ahh,you mean Vivaldi? That red hair guy who wrote a concerto about
300 times?

I voted for the winter movement. Overall I think its the best, I love the virtuoso violin part in it.

Winter is my favorite, although I love all of them.

Vivaldi did kind of write really similar concertos about a million times.. :\

C'mon, he did NOT write the SAME concerto about 300 times.

He changed the solo instrument every once in a while :-)

You know, this is one piece I've never actually heard intentionally. I'd probably know it from the "hold" music you speak of, Mr B.

Actually, I thought the Quattro Staggione was a pizza.... never mind.

Re: Vivaldi- Four Seasons

Can't really say what my preference is at the moment. I'm just starting to listen to them (I mean actually listening to them, not just treating them as background music).

But the first time I listened to Spring, I got really excited. During the "thunder and lightning" section of the first movement, the violin plays a high solo and then the ritornello comes back in with a minor key instead of major. Sent shivers down my spine and I exclaimed, "Oh man!". I still like that part a lot.
