Fast, with gusto, in the the Russian manner without - never seen allegrezza but it's probably a diminuitive of allegro, so probably a articulative instruction - but a little sustained. So the "russian" manner might be "detached" and the instruction is to make the notes sustained rather than detached. But I'm guessing completely here Boneman :-) Italian speakers, am I even close ??? | Re: Italien Terms The online dictionary translates allegrezza as exhilaration. So I think "senza allegrezza ma poco sostenuto" is a somewhat flowery instruction not to play too fast. |
