Re: First job for translation A link would be nice Anyway, in order to make it look the same, what you need to do is:1) First copy the original page in English. 2) Now replace all of the sentences with their translations and be careful not to change any of the wikicode (all those [blah] tags)! 3) Now do what Joshua said. EDIT: Beaten by two posts... ![]()

Re: First job for translation I got it to look like the real front page, but I'm having trouble adding the links. What exactly should I do? I guess I have to add a "[[Blah]]" at the bottom of the original and my version but what should I use in the place of 'Blah'?

Re: First job for translation I have a little edit to the ===Other languages=== part so it looks better. I'm now starting to work on other articles. But the most frustrating is the name of the musicians. Well, Chinese is unlike European languages, the name of the musicians in Chinese is absolutely different......I mean......Handel in English is Handel and something like Häendel in German......But it is like "韓德爾" in Chinese.......And the main problem is that I didn't heart most of the musicians......So can't figure out the name except "Google"ing. Also I learned music theory in English......So I have to Google out all those terms......

Re: First job for translation I might also run into some translational problems regarding theory, as we use some German terms here in Finland. For example, the note B (or was it B flat?) is H in Finland. Also, we use 'partituuri' from the German 'partitur' to refer to a score. But I don't think it will be too difficult with the aid of a dictionary, Google, and Wikipedia...

Re: First job for translation As promised multilingual support is on the way. Please wait a few days for me to organise all of the content. In the meantime please list any languages that you would like supported, and are able to translate for them.

Re: First job for translation I'm only good at translating into Finnish, so there'll be no new languages from me. I have studied Swedish, Italian and even a little French, but have pretty much forgotten most of them ![]() I think there should be support for at least the most widely used languages in addition to those we're currently working on. Spanish, German, and French come to mind right now. I'm looking forward to the multilingual support!
