The Music Encyclopedia will contain two types of article

• Encyclopedia Articles
• Opinionated Articles

Encyclopedia Articles are of course like any other encyclopedia, they are ment to inform and educate.

Opinionated Articles are intended for readers interest. These may contain such things as topics that can't be convered as easily as a encyclopedia article. An example of a opinionated article is: Writing Effective Songs. Each opinionated article is tagged with the {{opinion}} template to inform the reader they may or may not be factual.

I think this is a good way of providing both interesting articles and educational ones.

I think it's an excellent idea.
Will the articles discuss exclusively classical music? Could it embrace a wider gamut of styles?

Of course! The project is open to anything music related. It could even be used to house essays and analysis of composer's works.
The project is what contributors make it!
