Layout of Instrument Pages

If you look on th violin page there are the headings of:

Introduction, General Information, Playing Technique, Orchestration and Repertoire

Should this be ok? Or are other headings needed?

You could possibly add maintenace and a history explaining, in the most detailed way possible how violins are made (there is tons of reference for this). Furthermore, you could add a section to all pages, that would group the opinionated articles about that topic. For example, in that section, violin players could post there playing tips, suggestions and relevant experiences.
The first sentence is not effective; it should state the "thesis" of the article concisely.
The violin is among the best loved of all instruments.

I'll think about it, if you don't mind me editing it.
In addition, we could add a section, with quotes about violins.

For the rest, it looks fine.

No, problem. We're here to make it the best possible. So the headings could be:

Introduction, General Information, history, Playing Technique, maintenace, Orchestration and Repertoire?

Yes, and another sub-section, as mentioned before, could be the quotes. (And a discussion section, containing the reviews, and tips...etc of violinists.)

What about players, and maybe links and references(shouldn't be forgotten when getting information from sites or books!)

Good idea, a bibliography section is maybe needed.

I just had the idea of having sound samples of each instrument. I was searching through my hard drive and I found sound clips of every major instrument in the orchestra. I'll have to make sure there are no copyrights on the sound clips. Perhaps they have a place in the encyclopedia?

You could upload any of free domain, and for the rest (at least for now) you could post the ones in sampled libraries (also MIDI files could work). Just an idea...

Good ideas, we could use them for such things as explaining idiomatic writing for different instruments

I've been working on the clarinet page, focusing for the moment on orchestration. The new navigation will become the standard for all instrument pages.
Please tell me what you think
