David Morris - World Whistling Champion

I've just watched a video of the world whisting champion, David Morris, and I was amazed. He whistles such things as "Flight Of The Bumble Bee" which is difficult enough on the violin!

You can check out a video on his website here

Wha-a-a-a-at????

Well, I can do a trill and the occasional mordent but I cannot compete with the Flight of the Bumblebee or William Tell!

Nice link, Maestrox!
Puts a bit of fun back into music!

Thanks,
Reith

(ps: I learned to flutter tongue and got bad vibes when I made telephone warbler noises on the commuter trains...all fun!)

Brill to see you guys linking to David's site.

Just shows you don't need an instrument to play a tune.

I think you misspelled Whistling in the thread title

But wow, what a whistler

I'd like to hear him whistle the Tocatta and Fugue in Dm

Question Concerto for Whistler?

Has anybody ever written a concerto for a whistler? Maybe he needs one-- a good opportunity for somebody! Wonder what his total range is?
