| Looking for a segment of a Classical Piece I don't know the the composer's name, or piece's title, and only vaguely remember the melody. The piece is in 3/4, but is sort of a hemiola I think, with the bass clef melody being in 3/4 and the treble clef melody being in 4/4. It is not polyrhythmic. The piece kind of reminds me of the opening of Satie's Trois Gymnopedies , but sped up. Here's what I remember of the bass clef melody, that i wrote out in a sheet music program: 3/4 Melody And here's a small part of the treble clef melody that I can still remember: 4/4 Melody That's all I can give, thanks in advance. | Hello and welcome to Music-Web! Firstly, no 4/4 melody here? ![]() There are litterally millions of pieces with this bass figure in the first measure: ![]() So I suggest that you will have to be very lucky to get the answer to your question from that limited description alone. However, you could fiddle around yourself here. I also suggest that bumping yourself after just 3 days is a tad early… ![]() Regards |
