Cubase se 1.0.7 prolem

hi im having some problems with cubase se that i think may have something to do with my sound card (just installed cubase onto new computer which has a sound card where as previous one didnt and worked fine) because it trys to test the audio inputs and outputs on startup of cubase but cannt, here are some screenshots of what happens but supose it could be vista 64 bit however if u read on i can (if i weadly around the errors) use cubase just not hear anything so i think this sujests it isnt that.

if i click yes it then gets stuck and doesnt work

I can now use cubase normally however i cannot hear anything as the sound part doesnt seem to be working.
I dont understand why the test will not work when i press yes it just doesnt do anything then "doesnt respond" but i can activate this test through startteignberg cunase:Asio multimedia setup and it does the test and says i pass but then when i load cubase again it repeats everything as normal saying how i ether havnt tested the new config or it failed when i did test it

for the record i am using:
cubase se 1.0.7
intel q9400 (2.66ghz)
4gb ram
-vista home premium 64bit
-creative sound blaster x-fi extremem audio sound card which works and plays sound using all other programs such as normal music films ect so i know it works

also i have tryed to manually configure the asio settings in cubase to different setting which use the sound blaster card but it doesnt seem to work and the in cubase test still doesnt work unless u use it out of cubase but even if it passes the test when u re-load cubase it says it wasnt tested/failed the test(Image 1)
