Lightbulb Finale 2007 thread

Hey

I thought we could have a Finale 2007 thread, where we can sudjest things for each other or help each other through problems.

Just a little Idea.

Finale 2007, which really is a great program, can be bought at www.finalemusic.com

Regards

Daniel

I use Finale. Not because it’s superior, but because it was the first real pro alternative, and I bought it back in 1990…

I use Printmusic which is the *cheap* petit frere of Finale. I don't know how similar they are but probably quite a bit of overlap. We only use Sibelius at college tho.

I'm a Sibelius user too, but I have used Finale before and found it a bit daugnting. Its quite difficult to use, rather than the easy interface on Sibelius.

All professionals that have used both for some length of time, say that it’s never a matter of quality difference, only a matter of taste, and ease of use for different tasks. Finale is easy to me because I’m used to it. And to typeset something to the smallest detail, the way I know how to in Finale, is also possible in Sibelius.

Both are pro programs.

I use Finale but I've got the 2004 version.

It does create good results for me. But I still find it confusing remembering where everything is (esp if I haven't used it for a while).

Is there much new in the 2007 version?
