Giving an academic talk

http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/%7Ejrs/speaking.html

This is a wonderfully short, to-the-point summary on all there is to sucessfully giving an academic talk.

Much of the same points should be taken into account in all performing situations, including musical performances.

Read and be aware!

Regards

Re: Giving an academic talk

Pretty good stuff. In a verbal presentation, adding silence does help quite a bit - lets you get a breather, and lets them digest the information. It works as a good sequence breaker in music too. :o)

Cheers Thorolf.

Anyone here actually been unlucky enough to have to give a verbal oratory?
