Vista - glad I waited. Seems that not everyone is happy with vista for various reasons. I held back (getting a new computer) to let it settle in...and it hasn't, yet. I happened to read this in the Telegraph business supplement yesterday. By sheer coincidence my friend who can't really wait much longer decided to buy a laptop and have it downgraded to Xp for fear of a few older progams not working. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/mai...24/cnpc124.xml

Re: Vista - glad I waited. The 64 bit OS holds great promises for the future but at least I am not in a hurry to update my system in at least another year. The 32 bit version doesn't have anything interesting to me over XP and still at the moment the 64 bit version is lacking device drivers and native software.

Re: Vista - glad I waited. I @ Vista! Those Mac OSX Media Center aspirations are ok, but a far cry from the real thing… ![]() And inherently buggy, power hungry, not backwards compatible where you need it… Most peeps will be better off with XP SP 4, Windows 2000, Windows NT or Windows 98 SE, depending of what you need to use… ![]() Regards
