Music-Web is slowly but steadily accelerating: The last time we counted a 1000 posts, they took a month to build up, and this time, it took only three weeks!

The board has hit 4000 posts! Yay! And it’s not your regular nonsense/flaming chit chat, most of these posts are actually quality posts!

Yay!

I’ve never seen a board with this average level of quality postings!

A big up to the posters!

Regards

More people joining in with discussions raise the profile of the site. Even chit chat is good as it stops the site becoming too elitest

True! But the thing here is proportion. And I was referring to the kind of chit chat that is utterly nonsensical and/or flaming, and usually take over any growing board rather quickly…

Very true, I've seen many forum that deteriate into mindless chit/chat and flaming. One of the very reasons I created this place. There are far too many music forums out there that don't discuss music!

In order to prevent any guest involvement would it be an idea that only active members are able to use the chat area?

It might be a good idea, but it might also disturb guests who just want to check out the community. Perhaps strict moderation would be better?

I'm anxiously awaiting the day that we have 1,000 members, shouldn't be too long at this rate

Keep it up people!

Yes, but you don't have to be very knowledgeable in composition and theory in order to be a chat moderator, so MaestroX can easily get some chat mods.
