Re: Guitar!

No! They'll spot me! /o\
I've been playing the guitar for around two years.
My technique is mostly acoustic-guitar based, I have not much experience with the electric shredding destruction machine. (not stating I dislike it!) But since I changed my focus a bit, I'm not all that good a player, but I can play some very nice stuff (not that hard)

Re: Guitar!

Isn't MaestroX's former teacher a cellist? Oh, and I'm a guitar player too. More of an electric guitar, nothing classical really...

Re: Guitar!

I've had a go but couldn't accommodate it with practicing other instruments. 'Fraid I cheated, attempting to play classics on my electric. It didn't hurt as much, being I had the action set as low as I could get away with and used 8-38s (also makes bending easy)! If I remember the worst problem was sustain, that you get a lot less on an acoustic. Still it was worth the experience. I did learn a couple of pieces - the Andante from Moreno-Torroba's Sonatina and H V-L's Prelude No 2.

Re: Guitar!

I've played guitar for over 30 years now...around 10 on electric, the rest classical, which is now my main pursuit.
