A lot of what he writes is fairly tongue-in-cheek, but in between the humour and the putdowns he's actually fairly accurate.

I think his tone is very close to truth as well - most of the music there is fun, but you can't seriously regard it as... you know... music.

With my DJ background, I have to disagree with you. Indeed 99 % of all dance music (including folk dance music etc.) is crap, but the remaining 1 % is always worth looking at. But you’ll need guidance and/or extreme patience to find it

Again, this is one person’s opinion, and as such, substansially more close to the truth than any more “objective” efforts.

And, yes, It’s a lot of crap there, but also some samples from excellent tracks.
