I can't sing at all, plus having no classical training, which means my hearing isn't too good as well. I do know how to play the guitar though, unlike other people who think they know how to play the guitar and sing, but do neither well.

You should get some recordings of u playing your guitar on the site so we can hear! that would be cool. Oh yeah I know a few ppl who reckon they can play guitar and sing, but it would be mean to tell them they couldn't! I think they like it more as an image thing really.

I'm afraid I can't record myself as I don't have a microphone and stuff. I am trying to get a violinist friend to play one of Bach's Fugue with me, which might be pretty cool. If I ever get to recording that, you can be sure I'll post it

Buy the book "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Singing"
That book is really useful to start your own singing lesson.

I sing.
At first I thought I couldnt sing well and after moving from always being placed in soprano to alto I found out that things are much better. Now Im into Jazz and singing jazz.

You shud find the right range and style to really develope your singing ability. But ofcourse the important thing is to enjoy what you do.

Cuz I seen people that were told that they suck just because they're placed in the wrong voice category but actually they can sing.
