How to add echo effects? Hello, can some one tell me how do I add echo effects or just general effects to a recorded song?

Usually, individual tracks need different effects. But it all depends on the type of music, etc. For classical music, overall reverb is the only effect that you are supposed to hear. But compression (multi-band) is often at work to make it sound more balanced and natural. Regards |

Well the song is a kind of love song, so the effects would be like background that are simple and stuff so me and my freind don't have a clue for what to make or do. so any advice would be great.

Ok, I assume you actually have recorded something on some kind of equipment. I need to know what you used. Is it recorded on some computer? Is it recorded on analogue tape? How many tracks are involved? Mono, Stereo, or more? Do you have a mixer? Do you have an echo machine/reverb? Regards

Get a sound editing program like wavelab, cooledit, or if its in a sequencer program like Cubase, use that. Go under Effects Settings or anything that uses the word 'effects' and find Echoe or Reverb... mess with the setting til you get the sound you want.

No worries (there's helping people, and then plain trying to confuse people for the sake of sounding clever!)
