MaestroX will become famous soon enough
Its a genre of music not as populary composed these days, but other sections of the "showcase" can accommodate them such as "Ensemble Music" or "Solo Works".

ummm Almost all the contempory music I hear performed is vocal music. So I'm not sure were your coming from on that, but I do agree that the solo or ensemble music section suffices.

I was meaning in context of amateur composers. Its not as common for people to write vocal songs whereas to compose instrumental pieces

Composer your piece will be best suited to the "Ensemble Music" section of the forum

Choral music in its essence is ensemble music is it not? So rather than make a new forum that will go largly unused it can simply by posted in the "ensemble music" forum.

Hope this clears it up

Thorolf is on a distinguished road
Come to think of it, there is one main composition tradition that doesn’t fit into any of the categories: The duet, especially the aria for voice and piano.
As these often are soloistic in their ideas, they may be put in the Solo Works forum, which accordingly may be renamed Solo/Duo Works. Three people may constitute a small ensemble, but two just won’t

The forum description may be changed to “For solo works, with or without one accompanying instrument, and chamber musical duets”.

Regards

I agree, the solo works forum desciption now reads: "For solo works, with or without one accompanying instrument, and chamber musical duets" and the forum name, "Solo/Duo Works".
