I think what's here looks ok and it's hard to think what cosmetic changes would serve.

I have trouble with the functionality though. I might as well mention it here.
i) This way it auto logs me out, even though it can remember me across the days it waits until I type up a long reply to "log me out" even though I still appear to be logged in.
ii) When I click on an attachment I have to click the "redirect" line as I have a pop-up blocker - fine. Except I can't get back to the site without re-navigating into it from Explorer. Just a minor nuisance.

iii) The "Edited by" line. Does this have to come up so quickly? I'm not a good speller so I go back to correct a typo and the "Edited" line comes up, so I have to type in a reason in case viewers think I've altered anything else.

cheers.

The main reason for a cosmetic change is to make Music-Web look and feel better. An inviting look will attract more visitors.

I have trouble with the functionality though
Thanks for reporting these, I'll put them in our bug tracker so we can resolve them

Silhouette is on a distinguished road
I like it the way it is!!!

I don't think you should change the front page or the logo at the top at all, the only thing I can think of, which I think Boneman mentioned, was the wall paper, maybe just a sort of washy blue notation in the background, a bit like in the old music-web version one?

I really don't mind the current look of the site, but I do like the new look you are considering a little more. I don't have any suggestions as yet, but once I come up with some I'll let you know.

Thanks Majesty,

We are aiming to provide extra functionality to the site in the redesign. There are several features we have already that we feel are a bit ruff around the edges.

As more progreses I'll update you

Hi all,

I'm quite happy with the navigation of the site as it is.

I know MaestroX is working on new skins and appreciate the work he is doing on that. I look forward to the end result and his hard work coming to fruition.

I think the use of a musical wallpaper might conflict with the texting.

I think that the colours used are good, they are easy on the eyes, especially as some of us are getting on a bit!

For those who have been here from Jul 06, we have seen many improvements in the site.

That's me finished, for now. I look forward to reviewing others comments and to seeing and using the 'new' site.

Regards

My only complaint about the skin is that white and other pale colors are very hard on the eyes "I'm an artist, so I deal with color quite a bit "

I would suggest a little more inviting color, perhaps a shade of green or something? But other than that it seems fine to me
