Where are you studying? 4 days to complete - AND you got a recording! And you're going to get more perfromances! You lucky dog. Not all places are so supportive of their composition students.

My only question is, it's not really a "Piano Trio" is it - which is usually Piano Vn and Vc. Were you required to write a "Piano Trio", or a Trio for Piano and other instruments, which is what this is. I'd hate to think that an institution that gives you such a great education in composing forgets to tell you what traditional ensembles consist of!

Nonetheless, very good work - especially under the time crunch - I had to do one of these and I did it for Clarinet Cello and Piano - but I had two weeks (and mine wasn't nearly as "complete" but it was OK as far as the course was concerened - I did more than requireds).

Best,
Steve

Re: Piano Trio "Panic"

Well done! And you are only in your first year! Deadlines are a funny thing. If you give someone a lot of time they will use it all-shorter deadline forces us to produce and get creative - creativity is 90 per cent perspiration afterall. Really short, totally unreasonable deadlines kill us though.

The only improvement suggestion I can give is to add reverb to the final recording (assume this recording was made by someone else) To give a more pleasing sound space to the trio instruments would greatly improve the overall composition. YOu must know someone with a good convolution reverb such as Altiverb or Waves IR on their computer to do this.

Thanks for posting and definitely keep up the good work! Del

Wow! That was an amazingly competent work! I can't believe it only took you 4 days. Were you working all day long for each of those days?

Re: Piano Trio "Panic"

Hi thank you for comments. When i was composing the piece fisrt 2 days i've spended on skatching idias and try to connect each idia togheter when everything is sattle then i started to wrote full score for the rest of 2 days time. Weird thing is sometime good music can come out this way (Have very short amount of time).
