| Fugue for String Quartet This is my first attempt at a fugue that I actually finished! For this one I tried to go by the book (exposition, episode, counter-exposition, episode, coda). I wrote it for string quartet because I find it easier to compose contrapuntal works when all of the parts are on their own staff. Please enjoy, and most importantly, comment! Thanks, geoff |

| Re: Fugue for String Quartet Very interesting, some parts there (I don't remember what specific measure, sorry) are wonderful! I'm not that much of a composer so I have nothing to say about form and such, though it did seem you intentionally moved out of traditional harmony, and did so very well. P.S: I wonder if anybody can make a decent rendering (not MIDI) out of this piece? Keep composing! |
