What a friend...

Hello everyone, new member here.

Have a listen to my take on "What a Friend We Have In Jesus," part of a larger cycle of hymn arrangements. Charles Ives meets Miles Davis?

Re: What a friend...

Quite a fresh and energetic arrangement, never falling into that sugar-sweet or pseudo-jazzy musical-like (in the badest sense of the word) idiom.

I like the contrast between the three parts. This piece really shows a way to take a lot out of a very simple hmyn-tune, compliments.

Greetings, Daniel
