Re: The Catacoombs Only one O in Catacombs :-) (unless of course you're Kevin Riley, in which case there is a verified sighting of a double-oh catacoombs on Sibelius dot com :-) ). Very nice - I'd love to hear it on real sackbuts and cornetti. I really like the pauses in there - I was going to say "dramatic", but it's more of just "a moment of reflection" for me, which is very nice in contrast to the texture. Nice harmonic choices too. I like the way some of the harmonies "grow out of" single notes, or from a sustained note, and the way others in contrast "fall into" a new sonority. Question - do the dynamics (wedges) not play back in Sibelius? Or maybe only not in Scorch? Steve

Re: The Catacoombs Probably just the scorch. I will try and post a GPO mp3 file today. It was written to be played in an Abbey next year hopefully.

Re: The Catacoombs Hi, I do like the technique you employ when the harmonies are entering. I'm not sure if it was the midi or not, but the piece came across as lacking a bit or climax and release. There is the natural tension and release that I get from the textures and movement of the harmonies but in a way of musical form, I didn't sense it. It does do well to capture a sense of being in a catacomb. Nice work.
