| Polka for Brass Quintet I haven't been able to compose much of late. Here is a link to a polka I wrote for brass quintet. I don't play any brass so I hope nothing is too extreme. http://www.soundclick.com/util/getpl...d=7599568&q=lo I still cannot upload anything. It's been that way for about a year or so. |

| Re: Polka for Brass Quintet Very enjoyable! I was bouncing along with it all the way through, but unfortunately there are a few technicalities... The bass in the trombone(?) is a little fast and the rhythmic ostinato gives him almost no time to breathe and all that position changing will surely give him a good workout! The other brass is generally well-written: it gives them time to breathe between phrases, and there are no problems tempo-wise with them. I thoroughly enjoyed this polka, and I think the choice of brass quintet was an excellent one. Harmonically, the music was well-structured, and even with a few very minor dissonances, I think that can just be passed off as "modern influence" Just kidding there aren't really any problems chord-wise - it was extremely tonal.Great job.
