Three String Quartets

Here are three quartets in different styles:

This one was written and played for my wedding (a few years ago). I cleaned it up last year. It is called "Wedding Day"

This one is a baroque piece (inspired by Bach's Bourree in Em) was written prior to my wedding, but was also played by the quartet we hired. I also cleaned it up last year. It is called "Abourreeal"

This was originally a modern small ensemble, but it seemed like a good candidate for a quartet also. It is called "Wanting You"

They are all notated through Finale Software and recorded through Garritan Personal Orchestra sound plugins.

Just had a listen to your pieces here. Your piece "Wanting You" I found to be the one I enjoyed more.
Your baroque piece "Abourreeal", where you trying to wrte strictly in the baroque style?

I am glad you liked Wanting You. It is my favorite string quartet piece that I've done, especially the last section.

Abourreeal is suppose to be in the baroque style, since it is based on a Bach piece (my favorite composer). I hope it works. I did have a quartet play it at a restaurant last year and it got a good reaction from the people there.

When I was listening I wasn't quite convinced that it was in the baroque style. I think the couterpoint could use some work. The piece flows and never seams to come to a point of rest or any clear cadence. Possibly study some baroque scores to pick up baroque cadence formulae and intergrate your ideas in the baroque style.

I'm sorry if I'm harsh but I want to point you in the right direction as you have great potential with this piece.
