A Newbe Posts some Music I joined this forum last week and thought I would post a couple of my songs for people to comment on. The "Cello Duet In D" is something I did for my daughter. She needed something for a film project she was doing- a documentary on Grafetti and tag art, so I wrote what I hope is a very visual sound. The Piano solo "Garden From Above" is a composition I did inspired by looking from my balcony down onto a garden below, filled with spring flowers. All comments are welcome. Richard

Re: A Newbe Posts some Music I really like both of these pieces. In fact, I'm getting itchy fingers to score some lush, but subtle strings behind them both. hehe. --gary

Re: A Newbe Posts some Music Looks good. I don't know if you're s strings person, but that Violincello 1 part might be more practical in alto cleff (where it goes to treb.). idk. i played it with a friend of mine, and it worked out very well... the treb. cleff does work pretty well in this case, but just fyi, cello is usually put into alto if you're not in bass. that (i think it was a 6th A-F# interval in the second half of the song) is a nice combination. it is also difficult, however, considering that A could be played as the open string that it is, and the F# could be inverted for ease of playing... idk... i played it down like 2 8ves. just to see how it worked w/ the 2nd part. but yeah... blah blah... cello is an amazing solo instrument - nice choice - well done (& on the piano peice too) ![]()
