Re: Tango

Very nice! And very fresh. It has a lot of pleasant surprises in it. I like it.

On Edit: I copied this mp3 to my portable p3 player so I could listen to along with my regular selection of housework, gardening and lawn-mowing music. The tango just sounds like so much fun to write, you've inspired me to try my hand at a tango too.

Re: Tango

That's a very nice tango indeed!

If you're interested in writing stylized versions of contemporary dances, may I suggest that you listen to Samuel Barber's "Souvenirs" Op. 28? Some great inspiration there...

He's got a movement in the suite called "Hesitation-Tango" that you would appreciate. There are 3 different version of the piece: one for piano four hands (the original), a full orchestration, and a version for piano solo. They're all fantastic.

Cheers, John.
