I wonder if you've heard Copland's "Cat and Mouse" or any of the Gottschalk Children's Pieces (or even Debussy's). It would be so nice to hear you branch out and embrace some other styles and incorporate them into a less "square" format. It all seems so "this is what is, and this is what it has to be" to me. Cat on a piano keyboard - you've got plenty to be adventurous with there. Ok, enough of my whining. It's a really good piece of this type. Well done. Steve |
