Blanchet - a small hurpsichord prelude

I would be glad if you checked out this piece and told me what you think about it.

It's a small prelude for 3 voices.

Re: Blanchet - a small hurpsichord prelude

I called it "Blanchet" because I recorded it with sampled Blanchet harpsichord sounds. It's a free sample library you can download here:

You are more than welcome. It sort of took me to those days gone by where men wore wigs and women...................

I guess, the way music was in those days keeps fascinating me ever since I was taken to an organ concert at the age of 6.

I have a theory, according to which a fugue (or any counterpoint piece, but a fugue in particular ) is a small model of the universe, reflecting some of its laws.

Very nice. The samples are quite good as well, which really adds to the whole "vibe" of the piece.

Re: Blanchet - a small hurpsichord prelude

True. I already thanked Burnie for this generous gift to all of us music lovers. By the way, he also has a free sample lib. of a small Italian harpsichord and there's a Taskin harpsichord lib. soon to come out (for free) as well. A feast for harpsichord admirers! Thank you for your kind words, Steve.

Re: Blanchet - a small hurpsichord prelude

I rewrote the coda of the composition. I think this way it sounds more complete and unified. Enjoy.
